Having made the incision, the surgeon will separate the breast tissue from the muscles and the connective tissue of the chest whereby a pocket is created. After this, he will insert the breast implant through the incision. 

It should be noted that there are different types of implants used such as saline implants and silicone implants. Having inserted the implants, the surgeon will close the incision with sutures and also apply a bandage.
